Sporting good looks designed by Lotus, a range of approx. 200 miles, and a 0-60mph time of 4 seconds, this electric exotic changed the face of electric cars forever. The electric sports car was now a reality.
Tesla also is releasing their Model S, a cheaper (albeit slower - 0-60mph in about 6 seconds) and spacier vehicle for those who desire something a little different from the Roadster. Storage is in the back, under the hood and inside the cabin.
According to Gawker.com, Gov. Schwarzenegger ordered a Tesla Roadster late last year, after it was finally pushed into full production. Arnie finally got his Roadster - and found out that he can't drive it. Why, you ask?
Because he's TOO BIG to drive it.
Apparently, California's latest Governor isn't sitting well with the hard-to-get-out-of Lotus-designed body - considering his *ahem* sizeable build. So he's trying to return it; but Tesla wants him to try it out - or at the very least let someone else in his family drive it - since the bad publicity of having a high profile public official return your car can harm your business. So what's Arnie gonna do?
Oh, I think I have an idea...
